What are you up to this summer?

Hello future and past students of 501,

It seems like forever ago that I said "see you later" to the most recent 501 at Lowell MST. I don't know about you but I have plans this summer. As we speak I'm learning how to create cooler blogs than I did last year! WooHoo!

I'm attempting to garden, but my garden at my house isn't looking as good as the Urban Garden at school. Is anyone working in our garden The Growing Place this summer? Check out this story in a recent issue of the Argus Leader.

I want to read some good books. What books are you reading this summer? Got any recommendations for me?

Finally, I want to do some travelling. I'm going to Kentucky in a couple of weeks, and I might even go to Tennessee from there to check out a university that my daughter is thinking about attending in another year. Meanwhile, this week, my son Will is in the Tour de Kota, the 425 bike tour through most of South Dakota. Do you have any plans for this summer?

I hope I hear from some of you.

Happy Summer,

Mrs. Smith
